Choosing the right gear
We do have rental gear available for short term use, but at some point you will want to purchase your own. Here are some helpful tips to help you choose what's best to play Roller Derby.
- Make sure your skates are for Roller Derby use. The high heels on dance or recreation skates are not ideal for derby.
- Choose the right shop to buy from. In this case online might not be best, a shop will have educated personnel to help you find the right fit.
- Choose a comfortable boot, preferably with an adjustable toe stop.
- Ask questions! Ask all the questions, we love talking about all things Roller Derby!
